Hi new thread hopefully.
I was just doing the quiz there and remembered hot pants,I used to love them as a teen.
What was your favourite memory of things that you liked as a kid / teen?
Another one of mines was love beads lol.

The anticipation and weather watching prior to going horse riding - happened 2/3 times a year and was important to me from aged 8

Eating cold bacon sandwiches in a lay-by on the way to our annual summer holiday with my parents and grandparents.  We couldn't afford to use motorway services or cafes, so when we had an early start Grandma used to pack us a breakfast picnic - cold bacon and sausages, bread, tomato and brown sauces and a flask each of tea and coffee.  She also used to put the bacon dipping in a little pot so we could spread it on our bread - sounds nasty now, but it was lovely.  Cold bacon still brings back memories of those carefree childhood holidays.

Always hot summers.  Going out in the morning and not coming back till the street lights came on!  No one worried, no phones, no computers only an atari game which you played like a ping pong game

Best for me was when we could get all our mums out in the street to play ropes with us to see them skipping and laughing was a joy.

What a lovely memory, it all seemed so much simpler then.  The naughiest we ever were was to knock on peoples doors and hide. NIcky knocky nine doors we called it.....no idea why?  You never questioned it.  We were always selling things outside the house little jumble sales as well.
