Slight bleeding on evorel 25
« on: December 31, 2017, 07:12:34 PM »

Hi I have been on Evorel 25 for about six months.  I also have a mirena coil.  Today I have had a slight bleed and have period feelings.  Plus generally feeling low but that's Xmas for you! Has anyone else had experience of a bleed on this regime.   Bit of a surprise.  Wishing everyone a happy new year!

How long have you had the Mirena? Can you still feel the strings? DG x

Ok Dancing Girl.  I just checked for the strings and I cant find them!   That explains that then.  Where's it gone?   I better go and see the nurse then. I hope it's not lost inside me somewhere.  Shame it's a Bank Holiday tomorrow.  Always is when you need the docs.  Anyways thank you for that Dr Dancing Girl!

I'm certainly not a doctor - I'm just a bit clued up on these things. When I had the Mirena I was told to check the strings regularly. Sometimes the strings back up the vagina so can be difficult to find or the strings sometimes break. It could have dropped out.
Don't worry - it's not that urgent. Just phone the GP when the surgery is next open to get advice. DG x
