Hi
Does anyone else get this feeling. Like a light headed feeling and your not really there ? Please someone else say it's normal as I'm getting very concerned about it. I find I have to lie down quite a bit as I feel a bit unsteady and dare I say drugged! I do take Ad's so it could possibly be too strong a dose and I know my bp is ok. I am also a type 2 diabetic diet controlled x

Yes sparkle thats exactly like what it feels like an out of body experience. I have told the doctor she didn't seem concerned but it is a hindrance. I'm scared to go out by myself cos I don't feel safe and work is a no no x

Yes I've had it too, mainly in peri but also very occasionally post meno

During anxiety I get near out of body experiences, but in puberty they were actual out of body experiences, scared the living daylights out of me x

I'm now wondering if it could be due to my AD as I take that on a morning. I may experiment and take it at night and see if that helps x

It's common in peri. It may be a silent migraine or, at least, linked to blood vessel dilation, possibly from high (unopposed) oestrogen which is a stimulant.

Anything you can do to balance your hormones may help.

Just know you're not alone!

I have also had these feelings during peri everything just didn't feel real and everything was much brighter outside I remember being so scared and actually rang my Ms nurse as I was really panicked this was 7 years ago and not long after being diagnosed with peri and Ms.

I also had similar when I first started different ads.

I don't like it, it sets off my anxiety which doesn't need much encouragement. It's like being in a dream state then I worry it's my blood sugar which sets off the trembling and that horrible feeling that you might pass out. It's no wonder I always feel exhausted physically and mentally  :-\

This is exactly how I feel.  If I'm out and it happens I get really nervous I'll faint, this is what started my phobia of socialising at the beginning of peri x

I don't like it.  Sometimes I put my foot down and it doesn't go where I expect it to go  ::).

I also have a nerve in the back of my neck which if I move suddenly makes me go 'oh!'

This may sound awful but I'm happy I'm not alone in this as I just don't understand it  :-\
I find I deal  with things better if I understand why they are happening. I think I need to invest in a good book about the menopause so if anyone can recommend one feel free to let me know x
