Menopause specialist
« on: November 07, 2017, 12:02:43 PM »

Hi does anyone know of a Dr in Norfolk who specialise with menopause. I've tried to types of hrt tablets and had same allergic reaction to both. My Gp doesn't know what to do so referred me to local hospital which has a very very long wait 20+weeks. Having a real menopause melt down so any advice appreciated.

I've seen a Mr Warren (specialist gynae) at The Spires in Norwich. A really lovely man and very good at listening and explaining things. Look him up online. DG x

Thanks for that I've found it's a 5mth wait and it's a mr Morris or mr Fraser at the menopause clinic at n&n. I did see mr Warren several years ago at his pmt clinic and you right he was nice. Did it cost you much to go private and the treatment?

I forget what I paid - I think the first appointment was around £250 but appointments are less after that.  Tests and procedures tend to be costly though. Phone his secretary direct to get prices - she is very helpful.  It's appalling that we have to go privately to get the treatment we need quickly.
Once he has advised on type of HRT, he will write to your GP to tell them what to prescribe - so after this the NHS should give you the HRT you need.
Good luck. DG x
