I have but she said they wont see me, last time I saw them they were not interested in me and wrote me off, I am just left to my GP, I feel like crap and not sure if its that I am having too much Estrogen (2mg Zumeron) or too much testosterone( a peas size a day ) and this last few weeks 20mg Amitryptline but before that 10mg

I've been through more hrts than hot dinners.  When I wanted to try oestrogel I felt embarrassed going back AGAIN for something different.  So I bought it privately for £30 onlineclinic I think.  I agreed to them consulting my gp.  Because I was liking oestrogel I went online to ask gp to prescribe it and it was already there on my repeats.  That could've only come from the private clinic.  You do have answer questions and have to wait for an answer but it's worth it x

Edit: just a thought but it might be worth reducing everything and increase one thing at a time and keep a diary of what you're using and how you're feeling x

Did you go to a menopause clinic or a gynaecologist with very little knowledge?

Have you considered making a note of your recent history and sending an e-mail to Dr Currie?

Sorry to hear you are feeling like this. No advice to offer just a hug.

What I do know from working in mental health is the tricyclic AD's of which Amitryptaline is one, is notorious for causing weight gain in most people. :-\

I have been cutting my 2mg HRT in half and reduced the Amitrypline to 10mg and have not used any testosterone for 3 days and go from there, gotta see what happens now, I will say my head feels like its going to fall off my neck, it feels heavy, they say its tension, and the best drug is the Amitryptyline, as I said I tried physio, didnt work, tried Prozac didnt work, cant afford accupuncture , have suffered from headaches for about 20 years and nothing, was hoping once I had my hysterectomy it will go but NO, not sure if its down to too much estrogen as I was at first on 2mg for about a month then consultant said I was so badly low I needed to up so he put me on 2 x 100mcg Estradot but I still had headaches, then I reduced the patch to 100mcg but still had headaches and been on that dose till June'17 I went to my GP as I was having trouble with the patch sticking so she said try the pills for a while so she put me on 2mg and was ok but still have the headaches but this last month or two  I would getting mood swings real bad and well this week I feel so badly depressed I have phoned in sick, (also been off and on Testosterone, this last month been using it every day)

Could you be over-loading your system?

I believe that some Health Authorities allow patients to self-refer to physio..

If the patches suited you fairly well then why not persist with them if you can?  There are ways of getting them to stick! Did you feel your headaches improved at all on this regime or indeed on any of them? I know you've suffered them for a long time as I've followed your progress ever since you first started in HRT after your op and you first took the tablets.

Re the testosterone - what type do you use and what dose do you take? It's best to stay with this if you can as the effects are long term - rather than stop and start - since stability in hormonal dose is the key to try to achieve once you are post-menopause. Sorry just seen you use a pea-sized blob and you have no ovaries - that is unlikely to be too much if it's testim or Testogel. One sachet will last you about two weeks. The gynae I saw said the benefits are long term and can take up to 4-5 months so keep going rather than stopping because you don't feel instantly better!

Also just seen back to your other post - yes try the patches again if you feel they worked for you. Make sure your skin is clean and dry and free from products including moisturising shower gel etc. I stick them to butt cheeks. I;ve never had a problem with Estradot. Press with warm palm for a couple of minutes. Every time you go for a pee have a quick feel and make sure it's stuck. Don't let the shower and shower gel run down over it all the time. Don't wear things or nix that mean the patch is going to rub against other clothes - make sure the patch is well covered and away from an elastic waistband or leg elastic ( if nix)!

Good luck and hope you feel better soon :)

My GP wo t let me have the patches back she said she only gives them to quote fat people, i am sort of ok with the pills as my stomach has been ok but its these mood swings and headachez that are very bad, do you think as i am sort of 50 2mg is too much or do you think i have been using too much testosterone or if i need it at all !! God i dunno what to do i might stop the testosterone and try a slughtly smaller dose of hrt by cutting some off and just use 10mg of the amitriptyline, what do yoy think xx

I really sympathize with you. It's horrible feeling like that. I too had a total hysterectomy 6 years ago. Tried all HRT. I also found the estradot patches wouldn't stick either. Mine feels like PMT too. Can feel awful for a couple of weeks & then it goes again. I came off HRT 6 months ago. Have you tried anything natural. I take high omega 3, vitamin D, zinc & vitamin B for my brain. Calcium & magnesium for my bones. Excercise & relaxation. I know it is hard. Your doctor does not sound very understanding at all. Can you change your GP or go to another practice? Hope you feel better soon x

I know we're all different but adding testosterone to my mix really helps my low mood.

I think I said before but Your gp is wrong about Estradot only if you're overweight.  I'm healthy BMI and I used them.  If you use a hairdryer gently on them and then press your warm palm on it it should stick better.  Otherwise I can't think of any solution.

I'm aheadachy person, always have been and during meno they increased.  I just take ibroprufen when they start (I'm not talking migraines though, just bad headaches that affect me working etc), my ears and sinuses are playing up again and Sudafed is sorting those headaches

Have you tried 4head ? That menthol stick then you rub on? They helped me too

Annie I tried everything for the headaches but nothing worked except for the Amitrypline, I was wondering if I was getting too much Estrogen as I have always been on a high dose, at one point I was on 2x 100mcg Estradot, just come home from work and my god I feel miserable, just want to cry, scream shout, I just don't know whats wrong with me, I am cutting my HRT in sort of half not using the testosterone and only be taken 10mg Amitryptyline but not sure if its the right the too do, I think I may stick to 20mg Amitryptyline , continue cutting the HRT in half and not use the Testosterone every day, I will soon tell if I need the HRT as my  hot flushes will creep back, I am hoping that things will fall into place as if it carrys on I believe I am going to end up doing something silly  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Yes perhaps trying that regime of doses might help but also be mindful that feeling better may take time.  If you have £30 to spare why don't you try that Harley st online thing I said about to get to trial oestrogel ? It'd be so easy to tweak your doses xx

Hurdity can I ask if you think the oral HRT can cause this depression and today I had a bit of a breakdown in Sainsburys car park, I just cried and cried, need help, for this last few days I have cut my HRT pill in half, used no testosterone and 10mg Amitryplyline, but tonight I had to use 20mg of the Amitryplyline, but cant go on, I have some patches from before, so shall I start using them tomorrow, they are 100mcg estradot as I am not seeing my GP till the 13th and cant go on like this.
