As oestrogen levels drop off so the body may become dry = nostrils, eyes, vagina, skin as well as muscles may become lax = aches and pains  ::).  You are not alone.

Hi Sally, I'm new too, just joined the forum today. I'm 45 and perimenopausal, reading some of the posts already is reassuring that the symptoms I thought I have are probably associated with menopause. Looks like there is a lot of useful knowledge and kind support on here.

Hi Sally,

I'm new on here too. I'm 50 & have been having some of the same symptoms as you for the past few years. Dry eyes/mouth, metallic taste, insomnia, aching/tender muscles & joints, dry itchy skin, hair loss, irregular but heavy periods, anxiety/panic episodes that overwhelm me, the list goes on! ::). Had bloods & medical checks all ok. Dr has recently given me vagifem tabs to use as dry down below. Will try & see how it goes. Although got a bad period at the mo, so it will have to wait for now. What it is to be a woman! Men have no idea. You get some great advice on here from lovely ladies. And good to know you're not on your own xxxxxxxxxx
