What's this flower?

Saw them everywhere in Jersey, in this colour and also white. Thought they were beautiful but don't think I've seen them before

Thanks two hoots :) Don't think they'd be hardy enough for Scotland but that'll help me find a print or decal for my wall.

They love their roots firmly planted with not much room to spread.  They grow wild in South Africa so I don't know how that works, other than the soil being poor and very dry.  If you want, buy a pot full light enough to lift under cover during the Winter.  They are blue or white ......

Tnx for sharing.

'wild' or in a pot Salad

Nerines are the others that I fancy trying but don't have a South Facing wall to stuff them against.

Not seen any wild ones around here CLKD, but they grow well in pots. A friend has lots in her garden flower beds too.
I also like Alliums - our village had quite a display of these.   :)

I grow alliums in the Spring and have seed heads bobbing about as Autumn appears.

They will grow in Scotland but need shelter in the winter.

We are in The Lake District. Very windy garden and have a beautiful display of agapanthus each year.   They do flower later than in the South as only just showing flower heads now. It is worth trying to grow them.  Good luck
