I will just pop down the pet shop Taz and order one  ;D

Only ever seen a badger once in a small seaside town. It was dusk and I actually reversed the car to make sure what I thought I saw was real. Yep, great huge badger walking down someone's garden path.

Now  back to the cat.   ::)

Hubby has cut back the shrubs where it hides and has put in some short blunt bamboo stakes to stop it having a comfortable hiding place.

Might work.

Badgers are there only real natural predator in the wild. Dogs will attack young or sick hedgehogs but don't usually scoop them out like the badger does and foxes and hedgehogs often co-exist as the foxes jaws are not strong enough to deal with the hedgehog unless it is sick or young. Badgers have got the right claws to open the hedgehog up and make a tasty meal of their innards. Happened to one of mine in the garden when we had a visiting badger for three nights. We went from having five hedgehogs visiting, as they had for the past twenty years (obviously different hedgehogs but always four or five) to none within three months. Clever hedgehogs staying away from a badger frequented area but I was sad to see them go. https://www.hedgehogstreet.org/about-hedgehogs/predators/
