So in my ever continuing research (ahem), I have been looking into whether:
A) Testosterone treatment locally can help women who are contraindicated for ERT (tricky, as I'm not sure how this can be achieved without very specialist guidance and its probably not an NHS recognised treatment).
and
B) Whether adding systemic Testosterone to existing HRT produces superior improvement for VA symptoms.
The answer seems to be YES!
This article discusses in part the role of Testosterone in urogenital and genital health:

So - in conclusion I think it is WELL worth adding Testostrone to your regime if you are having problems treating VA sufficiently with local and systemic HRT (Maryjane, I'm thinking specifically of you - and Dancinggirl historically when you were using both systemic and local HRT)! It cant harm, and you''ll know after a fair trial if it has any noticeable benefits for you.
Hope this gives ladies who are struggling another option to think about!
