MaryJ- bless you is all I can say Xx it takes a brave woman to do what you did - and it paves the way for so many more who are suffering in silence. My gynae told me recently most marriages don't survive the menopause - so sad but a reality. Thank you

Well done MJ ! glad your treatment is going well too - may I ask does this MLT eradicate the need for HRT now or eventually?

MLT was first invented for ladies with Va after chemo who could never take hormones.

For some it reduces/ stops the need for local oestrogen, others use less others it makes why  hey use work better , as it's all plumped up and absorbs better.

I will see , I won't come off systemic HRT as benefits IMO far outweigh risks , regards other things that fall apart as we age.

Once you have the first 3/5 treatments , it is then one treatment every one to two years , it is not a cure but another " tool" for managing VA.

Mr Panay is now going to be offfering it as well apparently, as he is a big bod in menopause then perhaps he is the one who may get it into the NHS eventually. That's only my opinion not anything confirmed re NHS at all. 😊

Thank you, Maryjane, for writing about what VA actually means for a lot of us and I hope the GPs/gynae nurses take note.

I really hope the MLT is the answer for you.  :)
