I have a needle felted "face" which is on a silver birch tree in my garden and looks wonderful. I didn't make it but I bought it at a craft fair. The woman who makes them is really good at I think and very interesting to talk to.
I went on a one day needle felting course several years ago and made loads of flowers which I put on a felt backing and sewed onto a hessian type bag and it's still admired to this day.
