Hi. I'm 55 and have been menopausal for 3 years. I've tried several HRT options in the past but have settled on Evorel Conti for the past 8 months.  The sweats and hot flushes have reduced greatly but I still get breakthrough bleeding every month.  I managed to get a GP telephone appointment for today and she advised me that it probably doesn't suit me and to remove the patch immediately and make an appointment to see her face to face in 5 to 6 weeks. That's it!!  No advice regarding what to do in the meantime? Will the hot flushes and insomnia return?  I'm quite confused now and considering halfing the patch for now as I don't want to get all the other horrible symptoms back. I feel I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place now. Have any other ladies experienced something similar? Thanking you in advance for your advice. PMB x
