Thanks for your reply.
Sorry to read what you have been through.
What you said about Evorel Conti and Elleste Duet - the progesterone - I agree with. I am sure this is what makes me get worse.
I will call the Doctor again.  He said previously he would not give me estrogen only as I still have a womb. I understand that, but surely if progesterone is what causes my existing depression and anxiety to rocket, then there must be a combination of other HRT that can be used.
I honestly think I am going to give up trying HRT.  I feel bad without HRT and bad when I took it, so I am beginning to think I would rather feel bad without it.  I feel so confused by it all. x

Utrogestan is bio identical. Femeston contains a synthetic Dydrogesterone but some women can tolerate either of these better than testesterone derived progesterones- Femseven, Evorel and Elleste are all in the latter category. You may get on better with Utrogestan or Femeston. Go back to your doc and be quite firm and ask for one of these.
Unfortunately some women do have problems with any progesterone so a fair bit of tweaking can be necessary.

I know what you mean about coming off- I feel like this too but I'm persevering as I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Keep going and let us know how you get on   :foryou:

Hello again and Thank you for your reply :)
Your post makes a lot of sense, and has given me new information to be able to discuss with the GP.
I never knew there were so many types of HRT. It can all be quite confusing I find.
Today, I have decided to persevere with HRT.
I phoned for an appointment to see a female GP who specialises in Gynaecological matters. I absolutely hate going to the surgery - as I have agoraphobia - but I can manage if another person is with me.
I have an appointment for in a months time.  I will let you know how I get on. For now I am just relying on Venlafaxine and self help.
I hope you are having a good day. xx

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are suffering. I totally understand how you feel.
I've been on AD's for around 15years.
I really struggled to find a HRT regime to suit me, I thought I was going totally mad and did at sometimes feel I was having a breakdown.
Eventually after a lot of swapping and changing I settled on Evorel conti 50 and Utrogestan 200 for 12 days per cycle, I take the Utrogestan vaginally as it made me to nauseous if I took it orally.
It's not perfect I still get highs and lows but no where am I feeling as bad as I was.
Hope this helps you.
