Painful Joints in Hands
« on: April 16, 2017, 09:35:35 AM »

Hi I am waiting to have a new merina coil fitted next week and to start on premarin. My symptoms have increased with intensity since my out of date coil was removed 2  weeks ago and I'm so fed up with it all. My left hand especially feels so swollen and like it's been crushed the pain is there 24/7. Will this all subside once I'm on her? I hope the anger goes too!!!  :'( x

As oestrogen levels drop so muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  The body may dry = itchiness inside and out  ::)

Take a pain relief if the joints are painful to ease symptoms.

I have nodules growing on quite a few fingers. I did see a rheumatologist and was told it's osteoarthritis.
I don't tolerate anti inflammatory tablets but what does work for me is Voltarol 12 hour gel. I've only recently tried this and it's so good. I put it on my fingers at night before bed and it really eases things.
I'm on HRT but it doesn't touch arthritis pain at all.
