How many GPs in your Surgery? Is there a Practice Nurse you could speak with? You should not have to pay to see a GP! At a time when you need advice, getting a response like that particular GP gave you is out of order .......
PMT as you describe can be eased by eating every 3 hours - that is , carbohydrates, bananas, dried fruits and nuts - every 3 hours, even during the night: if you go across the landing to the bathroom, on your return to bed you eat a biscuit B4 going back to sleep to replace the energy taken to wake up, visit the bathroom and back ;-). That is *every* 3 hours, it took me a few weeks to get the 'every' into my thick skull

The idea is to ease any anxiety surges which can happen pre-bleed. But one needs to eat regularly all month through.
