Hello everyone
I'm new here but have been lurking a while. Just to introduce myself, I'm 50, married with two grown up children - one at home still and the other with her dad (ex husband). I had a hysterectomy at 35 for endometriosis, kept my ovaries, which finally seemed to give up about 4 years ago.
I'm on oestrogel 4 pumps daily (2 in morning, 2 in evening), testogel for libido (tiny blob daily - not convinced yet) and Vitamin D as I was found to be almost completely depleted. My current HRT is what I've arrived at after much battling with GP (which I won't bore you with as it seems common) and finally having been referred to local consultant who was fab - even quoted NICE guidelines to my GP in a letter after I'd been to see her!
My only current issues are dreadful itchiness and anxiety, which is something new to me - its not too bad, but concerned in case it gets worse. Aside from all things menopause, I'm unhappy at work, which is something I keep meaning to tackle and find something new, but it all seems a bit much right now.
I notice there's a program on tonight 7.30 on ITV "The Truth About Menopause" - I've not seen anyone else mention it - fingers crossed its actually useful! Looking forward to getting to know you all
