Thanks Hurdity - I completely agree with everything you've said and that's why I've resisted another go at Mirena. I just can't take the change in personality on utrogestan anymore - the physical changes are bearable but psychological changes are not. God knows how long any of us will be around anyway, so let's optimise what we have. Over the past week I've barely been out of the house unless absolutely necessary for my business, avoiding all but necessary contact with anyone, can't even contemplate socialising and told my partner to eff off! Just want to close everything down and hide.

There's a kernel of practicality still bouncing around in my brain saying "not acceptable, do something!". I've sent my specialist yet another email asking for safety info on mirena vs other conti progestin and await his response.
