How often should I bleed?
« on: October 27, 2016, 01:36:59 PM »

Hi I've been on estrogel since August and progesterone since September. I take 100mg for 12 days. Was supposed to take 200mg but the dose made me too nauseous so was advised by specialist to reduce.  First month I had a very light period on day 17 and this month I bled on day 14. A bit more of a normal period. Today day 27 I have started bleeding again. Is this normal?

Hi - I've been on a similar regime as you (Oestrogel and Utro).  Think the irregular bleeding is supposed to settle down in the first 3-6 months but to be honest, mine never did.  I usually bled at the "wrong time" of the month.  Think when you're peri, your own cycle can disrupt things.

Annoying as I wasn't prepared and took me by surprise. I hadn't had a period for 4 months. I don't fancy getting one twice a month  :'(

It was a downside for me, I'm afraid.  I got 2 periods a month quite often on this regime.  Hope yours settles down.

I am on this regime and I was still regular with my period so I worked it with my own cycle. If you can try this. Count day 1 of your bleed then on day 15 start the utro and see if this works xx
