Increased hrt dosage
« on: October 17, 2016, 10:59:31 AM »

Last week my hrt was increased from 50mg to75 and so far ( early days st the moment I know) I'm not noticing much difference, apart from  being very warm.
Prior to starting hrt some time ago I never had major problems with hot flushes and to be honest at the moment it doesn't feel like hot flushes, rather a general feeling of being too warm. Normally I can race through my housework without raising too much of a sweat but the last two days I've had to rip off my jumpers, throw open the windows etc when I'm changing beds or doing the ironing etc.
Has anyone else experienced this when their dose has been increased and does it mean I'm getting too much now?

Yep, I found I got flushes on too high a dose of oestrogen. I also got more flushing when I was taking Utrogestan.

Thank you Dancinggirl, I may leave it awhile longer to see if things settle down and if they don't I'll tweak my dose down a bit.
Isn't it strange how both too much and too little estrogen have the same effect?
