Bladder problem

Hi everyone, im 52 and recently i have been feeling that i need to go to the toilet because my bladder feels full but when i get there its just a trickle, then ten minutes later its the same again! It feels like somethings pressing on my bladder.has anyone else had these symptoms?

Could you have a prolapse?  Or it may be the start of vaginal atrophy because body tissues dry as oestrogen levels drop off.

Bladder problems are common in menopause and it could be the start of VA or a prolapse as CLKD suggests. I would say get this checked out if you feel that something is pressing on your bladder. You could have a polyp or something similar and it would be better to rule this out rather than wait and see.

Maybe your Surgery has a Practice Nurse who you could take with?  Are your smears up to date?

Maybe a uti ? I get this feeling and it's usually a water infection  :(

Pauline - does your GP send off your urine samples to a Lab. for proper testing?  Maybe ask for VA treatment which will lessen the likelihood of repeated 'infections'.  Mine started as bladder irritability and I had 2-3 AB courses until my GP sussed: sample sent, no infection, treatment prescribed: job done!
