Hop skotch ! Has anyone mentioned it I coil spend hours playing that when little and a game where you put twigs on top of a tin can and had knock tem off with a ball I dont know why ! Hide and seek as well

Yep, we had ludo which we played as a family on a Sunday evening - no TV in our house until I was 13.

If it was wet Mum would find a large white sheet and a blanket and we would play 'dens' underneath the family table which pulled out â€¦.. OK as long as we didn't put on the legs

Wracking my brain for board games that I played as a child, but actually have no recollection of any, apart from snakes & ladders. Board games became a feature in my teenage years as my friends had things like Monopoly & Cluedo. Patience, now I played a lot of that! Don't think my mum could be bothered with such things.

I was taught to play chess at the age of 7 - a 'proper' game. Can't remember that I enjoyed it much but I just did as I was told if it kept parents happy
