Did you have a Midwife that you trusted or a Health Visitor visit you at home that would know locally who would help?

Sorry to hear this Tinkerbellj - but are you sure it is PND rather than reproductive depression caused by hormones? Women whose hormonal surges and falls lead to depression tend to suffer from pms, PND and have problems around peri-menopause. It is vital that you get the hormone solution worked out first I would have thought - but of course I don't know your background.

John Studd has done a lot of work on this which you can read about here:
http://www.studd.co.uk/postnataldepression.php
http://www.studd.co.uk/reproductivedepression.php
http://www.studd.co.uk/depression.php
http://www.studd.co.uk/pms.php
http://www.studd.co.uk/pmsbipolar.php

I've only given you the main tabs which are at the left. Each section has more detailed tabs on the right. Do have a read but of course you should also follow the advice of your doctor.

Tinker bell, I can't think of any names off hand, but if you are thinking of going down the private route, perhaps check the Ulster Independent Clinic website or 352 Kingsbridge Private hospital website.  They list all their consultants under speciality.  I hope you get sorted very soon.   The only one I would be familiar with is Dr Janine Lynch.
