I have suffered intermittently with restless leg syndrome for years. I can feel the legs 'drawing' in the day and if I sleep on the settee in the afternoon, they are no problem. But when I get into bed they start, immediately! I've tried sleeping with legs elevated on a double blanket under the mattress, with legs up the wall

but I found by chance that bananas stop the sensations within 5 nights! For me it's lack of potassium.
Nurofen taken 10 mins. before bed time can help too.
