..........Anybody watch it?  Certainly agreed with the result, although that saxophonist will go far.   What a task, choosing the winner!!

I did!  :)

I wanted saxophonist to win, but understood why they picked the cellist.

He was a worthy winner.  All the finalists are winners in their own right to be there in the first place and they will all go on to do well I am sure.

He was and yes, they're all bound to have a good professional future.  I just felt that the saxophonist "sold" both the instrument and her piece to me.  Oh, these competitions..... :-\   On one hand, they're the only way forward nowadays for people entering the solo musical profession.  On the other hand, they're a complete no-no for anyone later in life and so make it all the harder to make in-roads, even if you've got/may have what it takes.    :(

I recorded it and just watched it curled up with a cuppa. Been avoiding this thread like the plague!

I thoroughly enjoyed it all and feel quite uplifted. I have to say, I've only just recently started listening to classical music and that's totally down to MM!

So thank you Dulciana et al  :thankyou:

I spent last evening on the bathroom floor so missed most of the Show  :'(  I couldn't have picked a winner however, when we took part in competitions we were advised not to wear anything sassy as it would distract from the music!

Some improvement 2-day.  Biggest problem was the floaty head inside my skull, not eating probably then feeling really ill.  We don't have a downstairs cloakroom [long story short] so laying on the bathroom floor was easier.

Once Himself has cooked my evening meal I hope I will pick up a bit more.  At least the floaty head has stopped!

I can't imagine living in a musical family - not one that jammed together as a matter of course.  Must be great, though rather noisy  ;D
