Hi Hurdity thank you for replying and yes I'm just dumbfounded by these gps, worst is when I phoned the secretary to chase my appointment she told me I have actually been referred to a gp with special interest in women's health so it's not an actual gynie,my meno consultant advised me by letter if it's a gynie she's referred me to then not to go as they do not have the expertise in the field I need.I sent a letter into the practice manager outlining everything that has been going on with the gp refusing to follow consultantants recommendations and saying I shouldn't be on HRT at my age etc she also critiqued my online consultation with dr currie not just the meno expert, and I asked the practice manager if she could help to resolve this (pointing out the relevant NICE guidlines) and she responded by saying she's off on holiday next week and anyway can not deal with this and has passed on to a clinician to deal with but will tell her assistant to check on it's progress.what the hell does that mean! I'm off on my jolly's and can't be bothered maybe! I've twice put in requests for hrt online and gotten them sent direct to chemist and I asked the consultant to push again for the dxa scan so I got that done last week, the head partner authorised it and I got 3 days notice of the appointment. They are well aware of the stress I'm under with having to have brain scans done as well so you'd think they'd try and help more I'm only asking them to comply with a consultants requests .I will attempt another appointment with the lead partner again when my scan results come back and try and get the hrt put on repeat,I'm really not feeling well though so if I'm honest I'm not up for fighting on everyone's behalf when I need help that I'm not getting.Im pleased you get what you need from your gp practice your very lucky.x
