Thankyou ladies I took a hand held mirror and a strong lamp last night & examined the breast area, there are at least 12 little red bumps/bites of some sort and in the middle of them is the little lump, so have got some antibacterial cream from the chemist today and will apply that for a few days, it would, I imagine certainly aggravate any node in the breast and have given myself a stern talking to about prodding all the time am getting a bit tender in the area now, will chat to my GP on Monday if not down....
I would have thought an inflamed node would have showed up on sonar but whatever it is, did not show up at all. Itis right on the outer edge near the armpit so a gland does come to mind.
