This isn't about you.  It's about Company politics and about people looking out for their own jobs.  Worse when someone enjoys their work then comes up against such people  >:(.  I should have walked from a job long before I did so but because I liked what I was doing and felt useful ……… hindsight and all that  ::)

Remember that you may have a cause for 'constructive dismissal' - is there a Union?
