Update........so after finally getting through to the Gp requesting an appointment with the GP who treat me last week, and who had asked me to call her today to see how l was doing.....found out she was on a weeks holiday ...ho hum

so asked to see a lady gp......(none seem to specialize in this kind of delibitating horror) !!!

Gp ...listened...l went armed with all info and mentioned vaginal atrophy and small piles....told her l had been on this site (she had actually heard of it and said it was a helpful and truthfull site)  ;D

Outcome of visit......

another examination......piles though small and annoying to be left alone at the moment...eat well and wash with warm water after movement and pat dry.....be aware of toilet paper, pads (try not to wear)not hot baths, loose clothing, all things l was aware of but she was thorough.............

Vagifem upped to 20 micrograms per night for at least 2 weeks, then to be reviewed, been given Hydromol to wash area in and then Eumovate Cream for outside skin area.....also asked me to make an appointment (with her) for 2 weeks to discuss how l am doing, if no better will be refered to a specialist in this area who is knowledgable of menopausal problems, but you cannot get referred until you have tried what has been suggested....

considering this is the 1st time a GP has even suggested a referral since 2014.....and told me that there is light at the end of the tunnel
l feel slightly more positive...................thanx again for all support and ideas........ :)

:clapping:  So pleased your GP seems to be listening at last!

BTW, don't worry if the vagifem is uncomfortable for the first few nights.  It was for me when I started using it, but soon made things better.
