Hi anyone in Cambridge?
« on: December 14, 2015, 09:49:35 PM »

I am new here and wondered if anyone lived in the Cambridge area.
It would be great to meet up with someone in my area to chat.
I do not know anyone going through the menopause and I would really like to be
able to chat to someone who understands what I am going through!
We wouldn't spend every minute talking about it, it would just be nice to know
someone local :)
Anyway if anyone is from my area please get in touch!
Thanks
Tanya

Hi tanya67 and welcome to MM
Do browse all the info on this site and get really clued up.  We are here to support you, so do keep posting.
The main benefit of this site is that we are all anonymous so we can discuss everything - sometimes really personal stuff - in complete confidence.
Do tell us about yourself and what you are experiencing and hopefully we can help. DG x

Thanks Dancing girl
I understand the main thing is that everyone is anonymous.
Thanks

Hi Tanya

While as Dancinggirl says the forum itself is anonymous, I can understand your wanting to see if you can arrange a meet-up with others in similar position. You could change the title of the thread to see if you can catch someone's eye eg Anyone living in or near Cambridge and want to meet up. It may be that there just aren't enough members in that area who want to meet - but it's always worth a try. I know Mumsnet are very active in organising local Meet-ups but the membership on there is enormous so probably easier to get a response. I presume there hasn't been much call for the idea on this forum and because it is relatively small perhpas wouldn't work - but worth a try :)

Good luck!

Hi, sorry I'm the opposite side of the country but I hope you find some local meno friends. As Hurdity says, you might have more chance of finding a Cambridge MM member if you change the title.
