Hi peacemakerukuk
Sorry to hear about the bleeding. Looking back at your posts you seem to have had a problem with bleeding on several different types of HRT. I can't remember if you are still peri-menopausal or what your periods had been doing before you started HRT? Perhaps you need a referral to check all is OK? You are right most women bleed towards the end of the prog phase or just after the prog has been stopped.
Bleeding at the wrong time can be due to your own hormone cycle kicking in (because the oestrogen dose in HRT is not high enough to suppress ovulation), or sometimes it could be oestrogen breaktrough bleeding if the lining is overstimulated and the progesterone dose isn't high enough to keep it thin or suppress bleeding for long enough. It can also be due to fluctuations in absorption from the tablet HRT especially if you have had any digestive issues recently? I'm not an expert but these are just a few thoughts!
I think you should go back to the doc and ask to be referred to a specialist if you can and also in your position perhaps separate oestrogen and progesterone might be advisable so that you could take the prog for longer and perhaps help prevent the early bleeding.
I can see that a Mirena coil might be a good thing if you are having problematic bleeding.
