No Dulciana, it's says 'adults' on the cover so it's okay for us to colour. 🖍🖍🖍🖍🖍

I love them...it's really relaxing - especially if you put on some calming music in the background...! :)

I have 'Secret Garden', by Johanna Basford.

Really does occupy your mind when stressed.

I've just ordered this one :)

I wish I'd designed my own range of Adult colouring books now!!

As long as 20 years ago I was using adult colouring books for groups of older people To whom I taught Art and craft.  Quite often I would draw out a very simple picture and photocopy it for a few to use.

For some people who had had strokes for example it was a great way to get them involved in something enjoyable.  Others were daunted by a white sheet of paper and weren't confident to have a go at painting.  Some didn't even have the confidence to sit with a group of "artists" so these were a great way to at least get them up to the table and joining in. After a few weeks colouring in I'd be able to get them to try painting and for quite a few their spare time was transformed and they would come in telling me that their family had bought them paper, paints, art books etc.  and we're really encouraging their new hobby. It was rewarding for all of us.

My hubby took up painting seriously when he retired. He has always drawn but never really for him. He did wall murals for the kids and friends kids too.
Now he paints....some strange stuff admittedly  ::), but he sells quite a bit at times and has had a few commissions.
He loves it and after a bit of a break he is getting started again.

Great relaxation.

My sister had magic painting books too.

I had those when I was a little girl.  The paper was so thin in those books and it used to bleed through.

I need to have a look-see ……. I think Mum put blotting paper between each page, she had 2 books on the 'go' so that 1 page dried and she could work on another.

Fuzzy felts anyone  ???

I think you might be surprised with adult colouring in books CLKD.

I'm really looking forward to getting one as I think it will be a great way to just relax and let my mind just concentrate on the one activity rather than jumping around over thinking things like it usually does.

You won't get very engrossed in magic painting. You only need the attention span of a gnat as it literally takes seconds, that's why kids used to do it.  ;D

My 'secret garden' colouring book arrived today along with some new coloured pencils.  Really looking forward to starting it.  It's really good quality and is full of lovely pictures.  It's obviously for adults but I feel like an excited child
