Mobile format of site changed
«

Hi. Does anyone use their phone to look at the forum and noticed the layout has altered? I've found in the last few days I can access all the info as usual but it seems to be formatted slightly differently and looks to be like in a long column. Just makes it a bit less easy to read. Or of course it could that I just doesn't like change!! Is this permanent/ any ideas if it's my phone going mad?? Thanks

I think this has been fixed. if you're on a phone you can also use the mobile site
http://www.menopausematters.co.uk/forum/index.php?wap2
(there's a Wap2 link at the bottom of the forum)

If you click on the WAP2 link which is right at the bottom of the page on the same line as XHTML]RSS it should sort it out for you. It does on my phone anyway.

It should work ok. I think you'll need to refresh your page.
You can also clear your cache -
On Android, running Chrome, click the 3 small dots on the addess bar / History / Clear browser data (at the bottom of the screen) make sure the cache checkbox is checked and click Clear.

Mmm think I'm going to need an idiots guide to this. I'm getting used to the mobile format but I can't access my messages in it. I think I would rather it not be on the mobile app format!

There was an update to the menu on the main site. The old menu had some issues.
The forum menu has been updated to make it more accessible to mobile devices. Unfortunately, the forum software is a bit out of date and no new update is available yet. Hopefully later releases of the forum software will be mobile friendly.
In the meantime there is the WAP2 version for mobiles. There is a mod (code modification) for the forum that detects if you're on a mobile and shows the WAP2 version by default but it's also out of date and buggy so it's not used.
