HRT patches
« on: October 20, 2015, 07:24:40 PM »

I have read in the paper today that you should not cut up HRT patches.
Can anyone please let me know if this is okay to do, as I am on the Everol conti patch and using a third at present and building up slowly.
Thanks

Yes it's fine - ignore that - it's just the comment from one pharmacist who doesn't know about all the different types of HRT unless suddenly there has been some different recommendations which no-one knows about - I think there is a thread on it somewhere

There is not a central reservoir of hormone in the middle of the patch so it's fine to cut them up. I've been doing it for 18 months with my doctors blessing and I think if it didn't work then I would know about it by now.

It was the Daily Mail who generally print a load of rubbish.

Just ignore.
