Specialist in Scotland

Hi Guys
I am getting to the stage where I don't want to talk to anyone other than a specialist in the field of peri/menopause. I know this can be costly but I am sick of losing too many days to this awful time of life. Does anyone know of any specialist's based in Scotland? I am seriously looking into traveling to London to see Prof Studd as I feel he is the only person who will get it right for me (don't know how I will fund it yet!).
Suggestions please

Hi WMLB,
Here's a link from this site - a nice list for you to choose from without heading to London.

Isn't Dr Currie based in Dumfries, perhaps you could get to see her.

I'm in NE Scotland & had to get referral to a local specialist up here. Other than that there was a private clinic. Don't know if that helps. Depends where you are.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the info, Cubagirl I am also in the NE of Scotland. I am just concerned that the NHS HRT one size fits all approach causes more problems for us than seeing someone who specialises in the field of hormones etc.

I saw a Dr Johnston at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. She's lovely! There's a clinic at Dr Grey's Hospital in Elgin, so far as I know.
Dr Johnston discussed HRT options with me. She changed me from gel to patches & I've got no complaints. She only holds a clinic once a week at the hospital.
