sounds like a good idea clkd by the way the nurse rang me today with a cancelation got to go tomorrow for the scan instead of the 14th so may be ill go for the op sooner ..will keep you updated x daisie

How practical is your OH? Can he wield a hoovery-thingy, switch cooker on/off and knows where the chippy is?

You could also get some helpful support and advice about recovery times etc. on the Hysterectomy UK website. They have a supportive forum

hes not all that good when it comes to things like that ..but hes good at making home made chips ..was only a few weeks ago when he asked me how to use the cooker he didnt know how to turn the oven on ..same goes for the washer i will have to leave notes around the house x daisie

That's ok. I had a hysterectomy (vaginal) July last year and found it really useful to have others to chat to who were going through the same. I realise that our reasons for the op are different but the recovery is still the same!
