Hello Everyone
My first post.
I'm 50 on Thursday and NOT looking forward to it.
I'm getting menopausal symptoms...heavy, long periods, pain in my joints....but the one that upsets me most (literally) is the emotional rollercoaster.  (Just to say, I'm not getting any hot flushes, which I'm sure is a blessing and I sympathise with those who do; it must be awful.)
My husband annoys me no end, but I don't want to be like this (it's me not him).  I'm so grumpy.  I've felt I just need to cheer up, but perhaps it really is 'The Change' causing all this.  And then there's the tears that seem to appear for no reason.  I wish I could feel emotionally stable again.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll find lots of help here, though one does feel somewhat alone.
Thanks for reading.

Thanks everyone.
BTW, I'm a clutter monster because I hate clutter and yet am surrounded by it because I find it hard to let go of things (but not in an OCD way).
Good to be with you on the menopausal journey.

Welcome to MM!   :welcomemm:

Here's a link to the "Advice for Husbands" topic that CLKD mentioned. I found it really useful to wave in front of OH, just before I snarled at him, it did explain what was going on  ::)

Hi Cluttermonster

Hope you don't mind me joining in!

There are loads of lovely supportive ladies on here to give advice and help.....they've helped me no end.

I had hot flushes and could cry at the drop of a hat....the femoston 1/10 sorted that for me.  I still cry when necessary but not when someone at work offers to make me a cup of tea which was very inappropriate in an office full of blokes  :foryou:

Hi cluttermonster65 - brilliant name and welcome to the forum. This lovely bunch of ladies have saved my sanity over the past year.

I can relate to most of your post too. Hubby has annoyed me this week by forgetting to ask how I got on at the docs this week. But even I'm beginning to get on my own nerves too  ::)

Read up on everything and ask away. We talk about everything here  ;)

Galdriel when mine was working he used to forget to ask me about things. I think they just get so caught up in work or other immediate "important" issues. I suggest telling him how you got on anyway, otherwise you'll just fester. Well, I know I did anyway.........    ::)

Cluttermonster65 - Sorry for going off topic.
