Femoston ContI low dose
« on: September 22, 2015, 08:51:35 PM »

Having made a switch from premique to femostin conti I have just finished my first month on these but have developed tender and swollen breasts, and the odd small flush which I had got rid of previously . Will, this settle down again after a while?

I think it is quite normal to get tender breasts with HRT, especially when first starting, and this usually settles down. DG x

Which dose of premique were you on? If you were on the low dose it is approximately equivalent to the 1 mg Femoston conti but they contain different oestrogens and progestogens so your body is adapting to these which may be the cause of your symptoms. Hopefully the flushes will not return properly!

How long have you been post-menopausal and on HRT?

I was on the low dose for two years. Started at 43/44 with symptoms then flushes were bad!
