Use to love a nice glass of wine or a southern comfort & lemonade, but have been tee total now for 10 years since being on ADs.
Doesn't bother me now.
I'm very cheap to take out as I don't like soft drinks much.
A glass of water and I'm anybody's  ::) :-*

I'm afraid to admit I like a drink.  Red wine.  Never more than 2 glasses as I hate feeling drunk and having an Ileostomy means I dehydrate very easily.   I have a glass most nights as I find it helps relax me probably not recommended but ATM I look forward to it and I feel the  relaxing effect of the wine  does me good :( 🍷

I've never been much of a drinker, and have only had three hangovers which caused horrific upset stomachs and the bits I can remember are absolutely mortifying. That said I drink the odd glass of wine with rich food as I find it does help my digestion.

I think everything in moderation is alright, except smoking (gave up three years ago and very proud of my success).   Having said that I have several male friends in late 60s who drink a lot of wine and smoked heavily until recently.  The are fit and reasonably healthy.

One thing they don't indulge in is worry - they are very happy and stress free as the live in he day. No think stress is a big factor in illness and early death.   My body fell apart during my anxiety episode recently.

Exactly, so which is worse for you - 3 or 4 of glasses of wine a week to relax you or stress, anxiety and worry?  :-\

Has anyone tried 'noughty' products i.e. non-alcoholic champagne-type fizz?  noughtyaf.com

I'm not a fizz drinker anyway, had hoped that there would be a wider choice.

I used to enjoy drinking but I now find that I just can’t tolerate anything other than one  glass of wine so I basically hardly drink at all now. The after effects are such that I just find it’s not worth it now. I do feel a lot better now and sleep far better x
