Mattress.....
Not sure I'm prepared to confess to be honest.
I blame the forum for bringing it into my mind.
When I counted up I was quite shocked. I'm my defence it has a lovely topper on it and has always been encased in a protector but ...,oh my goodness it's OLD

10 years old but it's a tempur mattress, so has a 15 year life span. Hated it at first, but now love it.

The one we currently use 5 years.
However, the one before that was purchased in 1991
Sadly that is the bed/mattress is in the small bedroom upstairs that we use in the winter..............

2 months
replacing one which was totally dead after less than 3 years use (just an incredibly poor quality one, although the price would say differently
)
and we did end up using the 6 year old one we replaced that one with temporarily (it had been in the other room as it was still reasonable)

Are we talking into double figures
In our last house when we had our bedroom done we put the mattress on the living floor and slept there. I hate the smell of paint and our other bedrooms had kids in so there was no other option really.

mattress about 16 years, new one being made as we post. Bedroom curtains 33 years, bedroom being re decorated as we post so they will be replaced by the end of the year.

don't be sparkle. the linings are as thin as tissue paper and all ripped and raggedy. They look a sight. they were beautiful curtains and made to measure and quite expensive so they did last but they are well past their use by date. If we didn't also have a vertical blind we might as well have no curtains they let in all the light.
