I wasn't even aware I was doing it until hubby and daughter pointed it out  ::)

I do suit grey but I also suit blues and corals too, so it's been in with some much brighter things this summer.....unfortunately the weather has meant a lot of it hasn't been worn...yet.

colourful accessories can work wonders.  Grey is nice, we are redecorating our bedroom soft grey.

My outfit for the wedding in 3 weeks is navy and white  :)

Silvery grey suits me, but anything darker & colour drains from my face. A nice coral suits me best, although I've bought yellow this year. A nice yellow, not bright lemon. I used to suit lemon, but have had to soften it over the years. A nice grey can be accessorised with so many colours.

That's what I did. I love scarves, they are so handy for brightening things up.

Between me and my daughter we have about 40 different scarves between us.  We share.

Not that we are addicted   ;D

Scarves are good, they can make such a difference to the way one looks.

My daughter picked up the most beautiful vintage scarf in a charity shop. It's in great condition and is a strange combination of sort of net and velvet with lovely embroidery. Its a winter one so she can't wait to wear it.

We are forever on charity shop trawls looking for something different.

I'm known as the queen of wraps. I have so many. If somebody needs one they come to me, even friends of son's fiancé have heard of my collection.  ;D

my weight is dropping and I am getting concerned.  I am having tests this week and see my GP on Thursday but I am worried about my outfit for the wedding in just under 3 weeks.  At this rate it will need some last minute nips and tucks in it  :(

That is a worry BJ, let us know how you get on.

I love the 'when I am old I will wear purple' rhyme, that is why I used to wear it, never realised I could wear red and purple :)

Today I have a white top with coloured birds and sparkle beads on, with black jeans.  I used to save such tops for going out, I dont go 'out' so now I try to look nice every day.. I do this for me, as DH wouldnt notice if I had a bin sack on.

Forgot to mention my hats for winter, now they are a talking point ;)

SadLynda you remind me of mum's generation when they had clothes for 'best' which might be worn once or twice a year.  Linens that only came out for special occasions, tray cloths for visitors etc.  Such a shame.  It was all in pristine condition when we cleared out her house.  How nice it would have been for her to use it more often for herself

I remember when we bought our first house in 1979 we papered our new bathroom in pink and orange and it looked really fresh and pretty.  When my parents visited my father pronounced it 'ghastly' and for ages I felt the burden of his disapproval (again)  :'(
