If a patient is admitted via A&E they will have been assessed by a Doctor! If symptoms can be controlled by pain relief then scans won't be done at weekends but that does depend on the Health Authority, some apparently work 24/7 now.

You are making problems before they arrive Peterspots - why would a Gynaecologist not see a patient even if they have been to A&E? anymore than a GP won't see a patient  :-\.  You already have an appt with a Gynae so go along and have that chat.  Who was 'she' exactly?  Doctors/Staff make decisions dependant on what they are presented with and if they don't consider that a test is appropriate/essential at this moment in time then the patient will be referred back to the GP.

The NHS is there to serve.  Regardless of how often a patient arrives and regardless of what they present with.  You felt you needed to discuss your problem so went to A&E …….. and were admitted so the Doctor you saw in Casualty thought you needed support, either with pain relief or further assessment.

When are you being discharged?  You should be given a letter to take to your GP so you can then make an appt. if necessary.

Hello. Everyone was right. I was in for four days. Saw a consultant for 10 mins. After day 4 had an ultrasound. All ok. Sent home with morphine. Begged them to find out why I was so sore & burning.  Told not an acute case. Seeing gynae tomorrow. It was a horrible experience but I was kidding myself it would be any different.  Sorry to waste everybody's time

Hi Peterspots - you are not wasting anyone's time, so please don't think that. Hopefully the gynae will be more help tomorrow and will offer you either Vagifem or an oestrogen cream (Estriol or Ovestin) in the hope of improving matters. You can use the cream underneath as well, not just vaginally. Don't forget to let us know how you get on. Good luck!

Thank you. I just don't know how I can be in so much pain. I'm sitting with my family & keep thinking how can I carry on like this. I just don't want to be here anymore. I don't want to be in this pain anymore.

Are you taking the morphine, is it in tablet form?  Who is going with you to the Gynae tomorrow and have you written a list?

Liquid form. I'm taking it now before bed. My 65 year old friend. The consultant sorted her messed up hysterectomy years ago. I'm
Making my list tomorrow. But if I make the list too long it may be confusing

1. Oestrogen cream

2. MRI/ct scan?

3. Pelvic congestion scan

4. See urogynae person

5. Pelvic pain clinic

Does that sound too hysterical?

Hello. Thank you. It's hard to see straight when things have become out of your control & the pain is so engulfing Been to see gynaecologist. Having MRI to rule out nerve problem. He has given me vagifem to try. If this does not solve anything then he will refer me to a place that specialises in pelvic pain but I don't know if they look at the cause or try to eliminate the pain.

Not wanting to be a know it all....but an MRI CAN NOT rule in or rule OUT a nerve problem, it can rule in or out cysts tumours etc.....the world reknowned pelvic nerve surgeon in a France and most of our own specilaists should no this, there is not one diagnostic investigation that can say yes I can see you have nerve damage, it is an accumulative lots of or one sympton that is suggestive of being so......I have seen the very best the UK has to offer on pelvic nerve pain ......which quite frankly is 😏to say the least......if you started off with pain in A and that has now become a b and c then I would go back to a as the source of my investigation......for me that has been my bladder and hormones.......

I only feel the pain I have in the low left hand side behind pubic bone.

do you think this means there is a nerve problem or low oestrogen messing wiht the signal
