she appears to have Posterior Vitreous Detachment. She couldn't remember name, just remembered could lose her sight. My hubby had this about 2 years ago, although in a much milder form.

OH had this a couple of years ago, he could see a black cloud, growing, at the front of one of his eyes,
this apparently was a bleed. Thankfully, it resolved itself without treatment, it was just monitored. No long term problems.

Very scary though  :o

Not sure what treatment she's been given CLKD. She said they put lots of stuff in her eyes yesterday, plus they'd dilated her pupils so couldn't see much at all afterwards.

One eye is peppered with holes, other one is one big hole. Hubby was convinced he was going blind too. Biggest problem is if retina totally detachs, but hopefully with monitoring this won't happen.

I think it can be re-attached by laser treatment?  Maybe she could ask ……… I would want to know  ::)
