Thank you all for your kind words and congratulations for DD.

She's got over the initial disappointment now - went into Uni yesterday and had a chat with Student Services.  She has to e-mail the lecturer in charge of exams and gradings for her school within the Uni as 'having another look' at her result is a possibility and she can't lose (she's nowhere near the cusp of dropping to a 2:2, obviously, so the only answers can be her grade amended to a First, or stay at a 2:1).

She's got a few 'irons in the fire' at the moment, so fingers crossed she gets some good news job-wise soon.

Will your daughter be disappointed if the Degree isn't upgraded?

Time to get into the Big Bad World  :D ......... tell her to enjoy what ever arrives!

Not now CLKD - she's accepted the 2:1 if that's what it stays at, but she feels that she has to 'give it a go' to get it relooked at as she is so close to the boundary.  I think she feels she really would be letting herself down if she didn't make this last effort.

But she knows that the 2:1 is a good degree - the organisation she is in the midst of applying for only needs a 2:2, and in all her job searching she's not seen one vacancy require a First.  So she knows that a 2:1 is not going to close any doors to her.

Is she excited at the prospect of taking a job?

Very - especially if the one with the long-winded selection process comes to fruition!
