Results are in this morning and all is fine.

Now I feel silly for stressing about it all  ::)

Thanks everyone.

Good that all is well for you Honeybun.

What's the worst it could be?

I waited to challenge you on this ... at whom was this question aimed?

I suppose a realistic answer would be 'metastatic breast cancer'.

Anyone who was listening?  Often the worry is worse than the eventuality.  Once I get the diagnosis I can get on with any treatment necessary  ;) what ever the condition.  I worried more about anxiety stopping me going to the radiation treatment than the sessions themselves once the 1st one was out of the way  ::)

Why do you use the word 'challenge'  :-\ ?  It's a terminology that Psychologists often use, getting the client to put into words their fears.

I've seen this question/comment on previous threads i.e. "what's the worst it could be?".  Not sure what you expect the answer to be and I find the question quite dismissive and insulting.  I was challenging you to explain why you ask this and you have explained.

For me dealing with the treatment for metastatic breast cancer has been way worse than dealing with any concern before diagnosis or appointments.  We're all different and yes, some people do worry, but to say "often the worry is worse than the eventuality" is a big assumption.

My worry was changes from last time. Of course cancer is in the back of your mind because that's what this examination is ultimately about.

So that's the worse it could be and not something in my mind to be taken lightly. I have had too many friends that have had breast cancer to take this test any other way but seriously.

I do appreciate your point of view tiger74, and although I can never understand what you have been through can empathise with your comments.

Thank you for your supportive comments Honeybun.  I am always genuinely pleased when I hear about people who have clear results from mammograms.
