Premenstrual nausea

Hi,
Just a quick question. Does anyone else, who's still having periods, feel nauseous for a few days beforehand? It feels a bit like morning sickness & usually happens about 3 or 4 days before a period. I'm just at the beginning of the journey through the menopause, so not sure if this is normal or not.

I had pre-menstrual nausea all my Life. When I had PMT I was advised to eat every 3 hours even through the night. That's to keep blood sugar levels even. That awful lurch when the body requires food = intense nausea. Slow release foods i.e. bananas, porridge or granola; dried fruits and nuts; when I let my puppy out to pee in the early hours I would eat a couple of biscuits once back in bed; she soon learnt that there was a treat after a pee
Have a browse round!

I've had it too, as a part of PMS. Now I don't really know what I have anymore, or when I have it...

I have had horrible morning nausea during menopause. It is one thing more that is so difficult to cope with. I have taken travel sickness tablets and also have stemetil but I know this is hormonal. When will it end? I have had the waking nausea lift for a while but then come back.

Yes certainly has nausea around time of period, usually after for me, comes from sudden drop in hormones. I have a couple of really bad days when i cant even eat then milder days. Not fun is it? x

I've had it since I've been peri menopausal. It's usually when my hormones are fluctuating, and is sometimes accompanied by a headache or an hour or so of crushing fatigue. Sounds weird, but bread sticks really helped, as did plain rice cakes and lemonade. HRT helped a little bit but the biggest improvement has been since I've been on Qlaira (type of pill). Good luck. Hope it soon passes as I know how horrid it is x
