I got it from the Kindle App Store. It's called Sounds of the Ocean.

I just find the sound of waves lapping on the shore very relaxing and it helps me nod off.
Don't laugh but I try to do a bit of visualisation as I listen. I am walking through the waves and they lap over my feet. It's lovely.

There are a few wave apps to choose from and most are free so if they don't work for you then nothing is lost.

Hi Purplenanny,
During my recent prolonged hospital stay ( 11 weeks 2 days incase anyone on this forum doesn't know lol ) I had problems with sleeping and episodes of anxiety.  I too was recommended to try apps by Glenn Harrold ( I think Bramble recommended him too?) and although sceptical I found them very good and am in fact still hooked despite being home from hospital for several weeks.  It is a mixture of talking and music but very relaxing and I rarely get to the end before falling asleep.  Highly recommend xx

And no the sounds don't make me want to wee  ;D

The seashore is my favourite place to be. I love sitting just listening to the waves. I stay on the coast, two mins from the beach. Our last house was on the shore and with the windows open at night I could hear the sea and it lulled me to sleep.

Can't hear it now, so my app is the next best thing.

Give it a go PN, it might just help......as long as it doesn't send you to the loo too often  ::)

Have you found anything to help yet ?
