Gosh I'm in two minds again now, I really would like to help but don't want to spend the next week worrying. It was never like this when I was young, the worlds gone mad with all this tickle tackle. My friend made about 200 scones for her brothers wedding and no one died........I don't think  ::)

What should I do  ???

I remember making a birthday cake for my kids to take to nursery when they were little, nobody batted an eyelid back then.

Clio, in a word, BAKE!  :)

Thank you ladies,

Honeybun.......thank you for the Info you posted on ' no ruling on banning home made cakes' , after I read it and thought about all the coffee mornings that people put on for different charities etc I realised I was over thinking it. My kitchens clean, I would have hair tied back, clean hands etc, if I plan ahead I could make loads as I have a full day.  Of course I would still get my husband eat one of everything but also charge him and put the money in the charity box.

Why I worry so much is beyond me!

I've done a number of charity coffee mornings and have found chocolate followed by lemon to be the most popular flavours.  So maybe choc brownies and lemon drizzle?  Gingerbread, shorbread and scones whether fruit, plain or cheese also go down well.  I often get 'special requests' for my gingerbread now  ;)

Im waiting on reply from charity regarding food regulations and policy etc,  now I've read info from gov I'm sure everything is fine. I will still worry though cos that's what I do, I must not have a lot of confidence with my kitchen skills  :-\....... my husbands still around so he must like my cooking and baking plus no bellyache or sickness  ::).

I'm doing chocolate brownies, lemon drizzle, ricekrispy cakes and the Mars bar ricekrispy bars that was suggested sound delicious. If I have time gingerbread squares too.

I'll do all my shopping tomorrow and start first thing Friday  :)

Your cakes sound yummy Clio - just wish I wasn't trying to diet! If you made any with nuts (which it doesn't appear you are), just flag those up. Our school doesn't allow them because of allergies. Love the idea of testing them on your other half to see if he survives! Go for it! Hope your charity raises loads!
