Egg freezing

So today I visited Monash IVF for an interpretation of my bizarre hormone results. The specialist confirmed I am, in his opinion, perimenopausal at 32.

Has anyone else with this diagnosis undergone IVF to freeze eggs and if so what was your experience of it? My AMH is really low (<1) so my specialist said if I elect to do it he will prescribe the maximum dose of everything available to try and increase the chance of getting anything to harvest.

I went over at 36/37 and lets face it over 50% of Anglo Celt women in Ozz have babies way over 30
I know I was in daycare till last December ave agae of first time MUM was 32
So take it all love I was having second thoughts about having another I had one at 20 and all of a sudden 36
All my pals here in Brisbane had 3/4 year olds at my age and there was me in Premeno or early Ovarian failure

Have a hunt for Stellas posts......she is the proud mum of two little girls and your circumstances sound similar.

I'm not sure you're still on this forum but thought I'd ask as I'm having a similar problem. Very low estrogen but normal FSH. Did you ever get an answer?

Thanks.

I have gone through IVF 6 times, 4 using my own eggs and twice with donor eggs. The donor egg situation is what was suggested to us with a low AMH as the best chance of conceiving. Not to say that even with low AMH you will not get any follicles, however was suggested to us as our best chance for any child. Unfortunately neither has worked, but I hope for a different outcome for you. I know it is a very difficult thing, and sympathize completely as someone who has always been wanting to add to my family, and is now instead facing this damn perii/menopause.

If you look at the posts for one of the boards, e.g. All Things menopause,  from the home screen then you should see the option for New Topic  along with Notify and Mark Read at the top of the list of posts.
