testogel
« on: February 22, 2015, 04:50:03 PM »

Sorry so much in my head forgot to mention whilst at the specialist on Friday I asked about total lack of libbedo, although that is secondary to feeling well ! Told him I don't even feel like a woman just a " thing " not had any ,I mean nil interest in sex for months and months and asked about testicle but he said no as it is derived from male hormones and wouldn't entertain it ,he said there was something but the nhs had withdrawn it ! He wasn't happy about them doing that and he said he would speak to the pharmacy to try and find something else. He said he could do a surgical implant but I was concerned if it didn't suit its not as easy to stop taking a pill or cream.
It's so wrong for the nhs to just stop something which works purely on economic grounds I know they are stretched but surely we should be given the opportunity to purchase these things before they just take it off the market !
If it was something for a man's well being ie viagra there's no problem ! Enough said ,don't get me started  ;D

Anyone else had this issue or found a solution.?

Can anyone on here tell me if they get testogel and if so from where please.

My specialist did say he was going to try to source something appropriate for me but wasn't that happy about testogel as it was derivative of male testosterone and not female testosterone .. Please feel free to PM if not happy to say where they obtain it from.

He is angry that testosterone for women seems to have been withdrawn .

Hello dazned.

I'm on edge today and anxious about a hospital appointment this afternoon but I had to let you know that your talk of withdrawing testicles has done the impossible and made me laugh out loud, so thank you for that!

On a serious note I think lancashirelass is right and there are ladies on the site who have used testogel or something similar so maybe do a search.

Good luck to you and let us know if anything comes up!

Take care.

Hi,

I take Testim, in gel every day. 1 tube (50 mg per week). It helps me feel stronger, not as anxious all the time as without. My Meno doctor prescribes, after we discussed.

Hope it helps!
