We aren't close either - until someone dies  ::) then I suddenly have relations I wasn't aware of !

I think I know all my family members.....don't keep in touch with any cousins really except two.

Hubby is awful although him and his sister talk occasionally.

I may still have a brother, though I have no idea where he is. Could well be dead and I wouldn't know.
When Dad died I got an email via a past neighbour. When Mum died, I didn't find out till I googled her name, it came up in obituary notices. No worries - we weren't close.............

OHs family keep in touch now and again.

My Mum is really good at the Family Trees ……. as a teacher in the same village years ago she can chart locals too  ::).
